Anyway, it’s time to do a post on the Balenciaga scandal as I can assure you, this attempt at gaslighting and distracting us is NOT what happened:

Frankly, the Balenciaga is absolutely bizarre and disturbing. There is a lengthy Twitter thread posted by @curioslight who’s account seemed to be offline or banned the last time I checked it, but is now back up (NOTE: The thread was reposted elsewhere and you can read it on one page here thanks to the Thread Reader). One of the first tweets noted:

Although western media gives cover to the Ukrainian NAZIs by telling them to remove all their ensigns-symbols-medals before filming starts because they can’t tell what might be NAZI symbols, I still find it HARD to believe that other people at Balenciaga (multiple levels at the company would have reviewed and approved ANY photoshoot) did not see any signs of “inappropriate references” in them:
