Let married couples buy their FIRST house using their IRA/401(k) balances completely untaxed, with the money to be used toward principal on that first house only, and to be refunded into IRA upon sale of the house, unless rolled into next house.
That's actually an interesting idea I have not heard yet! Localities (usually places that get tourists) also need to crack down on airbnbs - I would think they violate zoning rules for residential areas + ensure they are paying higher mortgage rates etc to account for the extra risk...
