Yesterday, we covered the grocery affordability crises that seemingly started with a debate on the Internet centered around $20 burritos:

Tucker also repeatedly brought up the $20 burritos without citing the actual Twitter debate in his latest monologue…:

As you can imagine, there’s something about complaining about $20 burritos and the price of groceries that as really triggered the neocon MIGA crowd into digging holes, jumping into them and digging them even deeper ahead of the midterms…

For example: James Lindsay has come up with a winning message for the midterms which is “you will eat Wal-Mart beef & bean burritos and be happy…:”

Mind you, these sorts of cheap processed and mystery meat burritos loaded with preservatives and other unpronounceable chemicals are ok IF you are in a hurry, don’t care about your health and need some quick fuel BUT even those burritos will need some sour cream (or guacamole/salsa) and cheese added to make them more edible (and they are usually small)…

And don’t get me started on cheap Taco Bell “burritos…” - I will get the runs just thinking about them…

A normal burrito not door dashed from a taco truck or Mexican run taqueria that used to be under $10 is alot closer to $20 these days after tax depending on where you live. I am talking about the kind of burrito so thick with meat/beans/rice/cheese etc that you can cut in half and make into two meals or share with someone along with free chips and salsa that used to come with them but some places are cutting back on…

While the neocon MIGA crowd will have a hard time gaslighting anyone into believing that burritos are new avocado toast or lattes, the ongoing burrito debate is a great opportunity to figure out who is real and who is on the gaslighting payroll as some people or “influencers” get it…:

And for those who think the gubment and Trump admin can do little about grocery affordability, how about starting with no new forever wars and new sanction packages against countries like Russia and Iran that produce fertilizer, oil/gas and especially diesel needed for farm equipment and trucks to get food to the grocery stores? You know, like what we were promised during the last election?

Not just food prices. Five years ago, a friend advised me to get another cellphone company. He paid only 25 $ monthly. Having trouble lately I checked, it is now 50 for the 'cheap' and 60 for the 'better' service. That is without international calls. Add another 15 $ to call my family overseas.

This is one of the 'cheap' services. the other 3 available in town are even higher. So I will have to stay with my old provider I guess.

I am going to the store now. See if the prices have gone down. Sigh. We might have to move to Russia soon.
