too late. too much talk. should have been done by surprise. as to money, how many people do still have cash? we pay with cards, and even phone apps! none of that is backed by gold - it is all in good trust. My savings account is just a number on a piece of paper. My stocks and bonds - same thing. the only real thing is indeed, precious metals, stones etc. But have you ever tried to buy anything with that? or try to sell it for what you paid for it? I got less than have the value back.
