When they took away our money and exchanged it for the Euro I thought that was it - we were not even asked. And the prices doubled. EU is a very expensive luxury. Not needed at all.
The free-speech angle here cuts deep. When goverments lean into fines for "unapproved speech," they're basically saying they get to pre-decide what's legitimate discourse. The hypocrsy is that the same instituions that talk about democratic values end up policing expression like they're scared of waht people might actually say.
