If EV ads were honest, coal fired electric cars, what else are they not telling you about EVs, how to save money on a new EV battery (Hint: Buy a gas car...) and more electric vehicle (EV) memes!
just like the fire brigade unable to come because their vehicles are loading - and hoping they won't catch fire before they get there ! I read that a few car carriers ships do not carry electric vehicles anymore since one (or more) had a fire on board. I am even getting wary about loading my cell phone lately ! What about electric bicycles? I hear they can catch fire while loading !
all e-vehicles' batteries can catch fire even when they're not loading (spontaneous combustion), while the fire from a burning battery can't be put out and must run its course. lots of horror stories @the internet! according to TheGuardian (march 2023): 'Fires sparked by faulty e-bikes and e-scooters have injured at least 190 people in the UK and killed eight [....] as a surge in public enthusiasm for battery-assisted travel is matched by a more than quadrupling in blazes since 2020....' - https://www.theguardian.com/news/2023/may/02/e-bike-e-scooter-battery-fires-uk-data
wow. And releasing toxic smoke, just what we need. This week I read that a doubledecker caught fire in the middle of London traffic. I can imagine what a mess that was!
I have just read that the genius in the White House has had his minions draw up plans to convert the military to all electric vehicles.
The jokes write themselves.
