Inflation on electricity is only 22% in the USA.

I am not entirely sure what exactly the official rate is here in the UK but mine appear to have tripled in the last two years.

I am going to have to check my maths.

Yikes! HOWEVER, you need to remember that in areas like New England etc, they use heating oil etc to keep the houses warm in winter... Electricity might be used to run central heating in warmer areas of the country in winter as well as for kitchen stoves...

Are your kitchen stoves there electric or gas? Do you use electricity for heating? I assume no A/C...

Most houses use natural gas for heating - I have turned off my heating and I will not be able to use it all winter as gas prices are fucking insane.

Heating oil is insane in the UK as well but it is mainly used by rural homes.

I don't understand how this isn't price-fixing and a rip-off.;

Don't you have to be careful of your pipes freezing? Do homes have central hot water heaters OR small (electric) heaters on, for example, the showers? In rural America and Eastern Europe, people can go back to using their fireplaces and wood burning stoves - albeit wood has gotten expensive if you are not by a forest or an area with orchards...

$1400 checks caused inflation? Ok. What about the 10 or 15 trillion they have printed to float the big banks while more than doubling the wealth of the world's billionaires?

And then Nancy ends on 'it's because there are so many employed..."

LET ME FIX THAT EQUATION FOR YOU:

($1400 X 100,000,000+ people) + 10 or 15 trillion to float the big banks while more than doubling the wealth of the world's billionaires + 100B+ for Ukraine for the past 20 years + (1T for the military industrial complex for global empire building and NATO X 20ish+ years) etc etc etc......
