Smoking, drinking, processed foods, and pollution are causing cancer in the young? Really? Funny, I remember in the 80s (when I was in my 20s) many peers smoking, drinking, eating processed foods, and we lived in San Bernardino in some of the worst smog, much worse then than it is today (funny how that's never mentioned in the LSM). Smoking has severe health risks, including cancer, respiratory issues, and heart disease. It leads to high healthcare costs and lost productivity. Secondhand smoke endangers non-smokers, and smokers often face social stigma. Environmentally, smoking causes air pollution and litter from cigarette butts. Nicotine addiction makes quitting difficult, and smoking can harm mental health by contributing to anxiety and depression. The overall impact of smoking is profoundly negative on individual health, society, and the environment.
