As a child growing up in Pasdena in the 60s, I went to Disneyland once a year with my parents and siblings. We had to take a daytime nap before the fun. How were we supposed to sleep when we were so excited? The hour-long drive seemed like forever. It was wondeful. Magical. We rode the train and the rides, saw the characters. Then the parade when the sun went down. And Tinkerbell coming down the cable from Cinderella's Castle. Nothing like it existed anywhere else at the time. Wonderful memories of Disney before the left destroyed it, as it destroys everything it touches. Today I wouldn't even consider supporting what Disney has become.
