Just when you think the People’s Republic of California can’t get any crazier, their regulators recently passed rules banning the sale of new gas-powered cars by 2035 in favor of Electric Vehicles (EVs)… Some astute commenters on a Zero Hedge article about the gas ban have already pointed out:

In 2055 California will resemble Havana. 60 year old cars dominating the scenery. Mechanics with legacy skills will make a killing.
There is no plan for having millions of electric cars in California. The plan is for having a very limited number of cars for just a few important people.
In CA the rich will drive EVs and the peons will take the bus or stay home. Any questions?
The sale is what's being banned. It just means Nevada, Oregon and Arizona will have a HUGE number of car dealers at the Califoria state line.

And then the blackouts began because… well… it gets HOT in California during the summer…
