Squirrel lives matter, killed for being "illegal," they are not just after squirrels (after us), gubment priorities (squirrels over rapists, murderers etc) & more Peanut the squirrel memes - RIP!
I know its election fools election day and we will have a meme post about that coming up next in about 1 hour…But first and by now, everyone has heard the story of how the government murdered Peanut the Squirrel because, well, murdering squirrels illegally kept as pets is a HUGE priority of the government in blue states:

Note that I have seen comments about how the government animal control people will encourage an animal to bite them (as they themselves are vaccinated for rabies and wearing protective gear…) OR claim the animal bit them so they have an excuse to kill the animal - especially if they know its someone’s pet…

Let me make some comments here:
1) Who else, especially since COVID, has cats or kittens showing up at their house or place of business and when you call friends and family asking if they want it, they ALL tell you they have one or two or more that have shown up at their house or business that they are taking care of or want to pawn off on you???
The local animal shelters are, of course, all full OR they kill the animals…
So then when you do the right thing by going to get the cat fixed (because if it’s a female, you will soon have several cats to deal with…) and let it stay outside (as they will deal with any rodents that the government DOES NOT seem to care about if you are in a city…) BUT:
it takes FOREVER to get a Vet appointment…
the vet tells you the cat (if a female…) is already knocked up (and hits you with extra charges…), and…
they demand a rabies and other shots (extra charges…) even when there have never been cases of rabies where you are OR rabies is extremely rare in your area…
No wonder nobody is getting their non-housecat or rather their outdoor or barn cats fixed anymore and their population is exploding!!!
[And I would love to know who is going around dumping unwanted cats or kittens off as they are also showing up at houses or businesses where they should not be showing up…]
2) Tom Luongo on a recent Gold Guns N’ Goats podcast (can’t remember which podcast) explained how Vets now graduate with hundreds of thousands of dollars in university debt (because it’s like going to medical school now - no doubt due to ridiculous government rules and accreditation standards…) and how this has helped lead to private equity or hedge funds to quietly buy up veterinarian practices and then jack up prices. In other words, the small veterinarian in your town or suburb (like the “local” funeral home…) may actually be owned by a big PE or hedge fund and the Vet working there (who might be an animal lover BUT can’t afford to have their own shop…) might be struggling under a mountain of university loan debt…
3) I have seen some comments suggesting that some or many Vets actually hate cats and you need to keep your cats away from them. I can’t comment on this BUT it would not surprise me…

The original poster responded to the comments, saying that none of this would have happened if the couple who rescued the squirrel hadn't posted so many videos of the lovable rodent online.
He thinks the couple was posting the videos to make money - and since Peanut the Squirrel's "mom and dad" had a "raunchy" OnlyFans account, I don't doubt it, even if the couple did raise funds for animal charities.

In the 90s when I was attending the University of Kansas I bought 2 ferrets. I named them Lucy and Ethel because they were mischievous. Then I moved back to California, where I didn't know they were illegal at the time. Evidently, someone turned me in, because one day I answered my front door and six cops were pointing their guns at my head. They then stole my ferrets, killed them, and fined me $1000.
I heard the couple was on only fans… so my theory is that the snitch bitch caught her pathetic husband simping on OF… either for her OR for him. So in a jealous rage she sent 30 + complaints about the squirrel and raccoon.
