Reminds me of a friend of ours who used to own a boat. She did sunset cruises, crabbing cruises, dolphin watches, etc.

Her boat could handle up to six passengers, plus her as captain. She books a tour for five people. As she's approaching her slip, a feeling of dread comes over her. Her tour group has already arrived -- and three of the five are enormous women. They all share the racial group as the woman featured in this story.

Oh, no, she says to herself. My boat will sink; it will not be able to handle those three woman, plus the two guys (big, but not obese) and me...Shit. They're gonna think I'm discriminating.

She gets down the gangway to her slip. Smiling, she has to tell them how sorry she is...Her boat has a weight limit and the five of you will probably exceed it. If I take you out, I risk the boat and my insurance, (and everybody's life!) Happy to return all of your money, but I simply must decline.

They took it well...and that was the end of it, but geez Louise. My friend started posting a weight limit for her boat, something she had not until that day thought of doing.

She has since sold that boat...

Taking no personal responsibility. Blaming others and trying to hold the world responsible in the hope of making money...
