The Regime continues to go full Orwell to make inflation great again with the so-called Inflation Reduction Act. But before we get to the memes, consider this article from SoverignMan that was also posted on Zero Hedge about where we are heading:

This is actually a pretty common theme throughout history: governments that are on the ropes routinely resort to plundering the savings of their citizens.
Several ancient Roman emperors, in fact, from Diocletian to Valentinian III, famously sent ruthless tax collectors to harass their citizens and steal their wealth. Several ancient Chinese dynasties did the same thing. So did the declining Ottoman Empire.
Significantly ramping up tax collection efforts is typically a hallmark of an economy and empire in decline.

In fact, it’s likely that tens, if not, hundreds of billions of dollars in allocated COVID money has NOT been spent yet as the money can only be spent for specific purposes OR is allocated to be spent over time on long-term pork barrel projects... COMBINE THAT WITH ALL THE INFLATION CONTROL ACT SPENDING, THIS MEANS INFLATION WILL BE HIGH FOR YEARS TO COME!

Again, and regarding this phony amendment: There was an obvious deal in place b/w Mitch McConnell and Chuckie to give a bone for the GOP to chew on and talk about before the Midterms (as they probably have the outcome of key Senate races already agreed upon or plan to sabotage them…).
